Sunday 29th November 2015 AbracadabraSunday!

Silver Fox in Kitchen and apparently with a magician in tow!

Real magic with real tricks and the musical stylings of Alice Mary and her jazzy entourage!

All This Sunday 29th November, so come on down and sneak a peek at the mysterious goings-on in The Oxymoron from 6.30pm…..

What is an Oxymoron?

People always ask this question although they mostly kind of already know the answer. Yes that’s right it’s something to do with GCSE poetry. Apart from this though, what is an Oxymoron really?

I believe it is a cross between a few different, equally loveable creatures. It could literally be “All things bright and beautiful” rolled into one big beastly ball. I have sadly been putting quite a lot of thought into this of late and am constantly coming up with rough drafts that don’t quite make the mark. I have however attempted to get an Oxymoron onto a chalkboard for the benefit of some outdoor advertising. I shall let the public be the judge and get back to the drawing board asap…

We have a stock supply of Kronenbourg, Guinness, Stowford Press Cider and Meantime London Pale Ale on draught, as well as a variety of bottled beers, ales and ciders including a growing list of craft ales such as Fuller’s Frontier and Brewdog IPA. Please ask if there is something that you would like to see on our shelves, we are always interested in the tastes of our customers!

This is The Oxymoron’s first post on a profoundly gloomy wednesday in November.

So far so good. About to place a drinks order and contemplating some very interesting choices in soft drinks –  like Karma Cola, Gingerella, Fentiman’s this and that. Makes the Oxymoron wonder what happened to Tizer. But then again we did have the exotic Dandelion and Burdock, which was a love hate recipe along the lines of marmite and salted liquorice. The Oxymoron definitely loved it and the rest.

Going to attempt to post this deathless prose now, wish the Oxymoron luck will you, this WordPress thing isn’t as easy as they said it would be.

There’s a lot of choice out there, but after much inner and outer wrangling we have selected Sweden’s “Pistonhead”, Scotland’s “Brewdog Punk IPA” and good old Blighty’s “Fuller’s Frontier” to grace our bar and please our drinking audience. They are very crafty as well as tasty so watch out for them!
